Organized in 1960, the Gilbert Historical Museum moved to the old elementary which was deemed a historical building in 1980. The museum is only open Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Admission is $3 for adults, $1.50 for children ages 5 to 12, and kids under age five are free.
The Peoria Public Library system includes two branches, the Main Library and the Sunrise Mountain Branch Library. The Main Library is located on the campus of Peoria’s Municipal Complex, while the Sunrise Mountain Branch Library is located on the grounds of Sunrise Mountain High School.
